Di Gioia Family & Founder

Oil - The Essence of Puglia in a Drop of Oil

In addition to its winemaking vocation, the Di Gioia family dedicates the same care and passion to the production of a excellent extra virgin olive oil. Obtained strictly with the traditional cold extraction methodOur oil preserves intact the unmistakable flavors and organoleptic properties of our land.

The secret of our "Yellow Gold" lies in the selection of prized cultivars typical of the Bari area:

  • Ogliarola Barese: For its structure and its connection to tradition.
  • Pasola and Leccino: To give balance and a lively fruity fragrance.
  • Why choose Di Gioia Oil? Our oil stands out for its dense and opaque appearanceThis characteristic, a sign of genuine artisanal workmanship, is due to the natural presence of precious antioxidants (polyphenols)These elements not only make the oil an ally for health, but also naturally protect it from alterations, maintaining its freshness and aroma longer.

The Olive Oil Soul of Cantine Di Gioia

Our extra virgin olive oil is born from an indissoluble bond with the territory, celebrated through the skilful union of three iconic varieties: theOgliarola Barese, which gives structure and notes of almond, the Pasola, with its characteristic softness, and the Leccino, which finishes the blend with a fruity and delicate freshness. Each drop is the result of a process of cold extraction, a method that occurs exclusively mechanically at temperatures constantly lower than 27°CVisually, this process results in a gentle pressing that does not alter the nature of the fruit, preserving every organoleptic nuance. The result is an oil proud of its opaque authenticity: the natural veil is the distinctive sign of an unfiltered product, which preserves within it micro-particles of fruit which are very rich in natural antioxidants and polyphenols. Choosing an opaque oil means bringing to the table a living, wholesome food capable of protecting the body with the same power with which nature created it.
